🌱 What is Reproduction?
Reproduction is the process by which living things produce new individuals (babies).
👉 All living things reproduce to continue their species.
🧠 TWO REPRODUCTIVE STRATEGIES
Living things use different strategies to survive.
🐟 r-STRATEGY (MANY BABIES)
Animals produce many offspring, but give little or no care.
👉 Only a few survive.
Characteristics:
- Many babies
- Small size
- Little parental care
Examples:

🐘 K-STRATEGY (FEW BABIES)
Animals produce few offspring, but give a lot of care.
👉 Most survive.

Parental care is how parents protect and help their babies survive.

Reproduction is a process by which living organisms produce new individuals. This process allows species to continue over time.
Living things use different reproductive strategies to survive. Some species produce many offspring with little parental care. This is known as the r-strategy. In this strategy, many young are born, but only a few survive.
Other species produce fewer offspring but provide a high level of parental care. This is known as the K-strategy. In this case, most of the offspring survive because they receive protection, food, and learning from their parents.
Parental care is important because it increases the chances of survival of the young.
👉 Key idea: Survival depends on the number of offspring and the level of parental care.
