GIVING ADRESSES (CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO GET…)

Police man:  Yes, of course!    Go ahead, walk two blocks, turn  right onto the Palm Avenue, you will see the Bank, in front of is the Library.

Tourist: Oh thank you very much.

Police man: You are welcome.

When somebody  ask about the  ubication of some place, they use to use » can you tell me how to get to somewhere?»

Also can use » Can you tell me where the… is?»

We to answer can use  these expressions:

Go ahead = siga derecho

Walk two, three blocks = camine dos, tres cuadras

Turn  left = doble a la izquierda

Turn  right =   doble a la derecha

Cross the street = cruce la calle

On the corner = en la esquina.

Take a bus onto = tome un bus hasta…

Take a taxi onto = tome un taxi  hasta…

Also we can use some prepositions like :

Behind = detrás de

In front of = en frente de…

in the middle of = in medio de…

next to = al lado de…
