🧠 1. Warm-Up: What’s the Difference? (10 min)

Instructions:

• Ask students to observe these three sentences on the board:

  1. I go to school at 7:00 a.m.

  2. My notebook is on the desk.

  3. The cat is jumping onto the table.

• Ask: «What do the bolded words tell us?»
  Guide them to realize these are prepositions that show time, place, and movement.

📚 2. Conceptualization (20 min)

⏰ Prepositions of Time

Used to indicate when something happens.

Examples:

• I have lunch at noon.

• We play soccer on Saturdays.

• She was born in December.

🏠 Prepositions of Place

Used to show where something is.

🏃 Prepositions of Movement

Used to show direction or movement.

🧩 3. Guided Practice (10 min)

Write the following sentences on the board with blanks and ask students to complete them:

Go over answers as a class and explain why each preposition fits.

🟢 Activity 1: Preposition Sorting Game

Materials: A mixed list of prepositions
Instructions:

• Each group classifies the prepositions into Time, Place, or Movement.

• Then, they create an example sentence for each.

🔵 Activity 2: Preposition Poster Challenge

Instructions:

• In groups, create a visual poster showing:

  • 3 prepositions of time

  • 3 of place

  • 3 of movement

• Include images and sentences.

🟡 Activity 3: Preposition Detective

Instructions:

• Hide small objects around the classroom.

• Give students clues using prepositions of place and movement:

  • “It’s under the teacher’s desk.”

  • “Walk across the room and look into the box.”

The group that finds the most hidden items wins!
